Maulers Continue Skid, Thanks to Nelson, Claymores

The Scottish Claymores stopped the Manchester Maulers, 5-3, at Whiten Field. The Claymores got a big game from Eric Nelson, who went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. With the win, Scottish pushed its record to 65-48.
Nelson had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a triple. The Claymores went on to win.
In comments to the Scottish Observer, Nelson insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
