Due in large part to catcher Pok-too Yang, the Kobayashi Fireflies sunk the Lana'i City Pineapples, 6-3. Yang was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Kobayashi reliever Nobuhiko Osawa snagged the win, upping his record to 2-1. Aaron Gledhill shouldered the loss. Their 46-47 record puts the Fireflies third in the Hawaiian League Ninja.

Had Yang not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Yang hit a 3-run home run. The Fireflies took the lead, 6-3, and never looked back.

Yang said his team "played with determination."
