|
The Atsumi Autobots topped the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons, 6-4, at Swamp Dragons Ballpark. Atsumi left fielder Joseph Clark was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Manuel Herrera earned save number 12 this season. Atsumi bumps their record to 50-43 with the win.
Atsumi won the game in part because of Gabriel Mitchell. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Autobots ahead, 5-4. For the game, Mitchell had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"We ground out the win," said Mitchell. "That's all that matters."
