Good production from left fielder Eugene Valturri helped the Yasu Storks topple the Mauna Loa Vulcans, 5-1. Valturri went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks for the Storks. Yugoro Hirose came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-6. The 4th-place Storks are now 40-50, the Vulcans 52-38.

George Pratt had a big hit for Yasu in the top of the fourth inning. With Yasu leading 1-0, Pratt hit a solo home run. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Storks up, 2-0.

"Good win for us," said Valturri. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
