Naruhiko Kogawa, who is tied for 10th in the HL in quality starts with 9, pitched well, but the Hilo Hoops still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Yasu Storks at Field of the Storks. Yasu is now 38-50, Hilo 45-43.

Tied up with the Hoops in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Storks got a boost from catcher Eduardo Padilla. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Padilla saw a 2-2 changeup from Naruhiko Kogawa and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Yasu on top, 3-1.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Padilla said.
