Michael Byrd impressed in the 10-4 Salton Sea win over National City. Byrd, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2039 draft, went 1-3 with a home run and was hit 2 times. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The Kilmers move to 64-48 with the win, while the Bankers drop to 49-63.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Kilmers grabbed the lead when Byrd hit his 14th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Rich Davis made it 7-4, Salton Sea.
