Lakota Go Down to Defeat, 3-2
|
The Thornton Sun Dogs picked up a win at Sun Dog Field, knocking off the Sioux Falls Lakota, 3-2. Starting pitcher George Anderson played a key role in the triumph. Vince Rayner finished the game for Thornton and earned his 4th save. The Sun Dogs raised their record to 73-67.
Won-ho Pak dealt the Lakota a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Thornton leading 2-1, Pak, who is tied for 4th in the RML with a .904 OPS, hit a 2-1 curveball for a run-scoring single.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Anderson.
