The Sioux Falls Lakota picked up a win at Lakota Ballpark, knocking off the Chandler Waxers, 5-1. Starting pitcher Clifton Welsh played a key role in the triumph. Welsh, now 8-8, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Jo Nii got credit for the save for Sioux Falls. It was his 1st of the year.
