Peña Schools Racine in 2-1 Glendale Triumph

The Racine Lakers and Glendale Skyelanders delighted fans at Skyelanders Ballpark.
The Glendale Skyelanders knocked off the Racine Lakers, 2-1, in Rocky Mountain League action at Skyelanders Ballpark. Glendale pitcher and Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, native Víctor Peña had an outstanding performance. Félix González earned the save for Glendale, his 10th of the year.
Peña's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Peña goes to 4-8 on the year with 78 strikeouts.
Glendale manager Michael Johnson praised his team's "businesslike approach."
The 5th-place Skyelanders lifted their record to 67-67.
