Plumbers Send Racine Home with 4-3 Loss
|
The Yokohama Plumbers picked up a win at Laker Stadium, topping the Racine Lakers, 4-3. On the mound for Yokohama was right-hander Sotatsu Kobayashi. He played a principal role in the triumph. Kobayashi picked up the win for Yokohama, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 15-7. Zenko Okada closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
Tsuginori Takahashi, who is tied for 5th in the RML in stolen bases with 25, took Racine hurler Hyo-cheong Cho deep in the top of the first. His 2-run home run put the Plumbers on top, 2-0. In all, Takahashi had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Takahashi told the Yokohama News.
Their 71-60 record puts the Plumbers second in the Rocky Mountain League Pacific.
