Extra-Inning Win by Grizzlies Over Puckmen
|
The West Valley City Grizzlies found a way to sneak past the Namuko Puckmen, 2-1, in 10 innings. West Valley City pitcher Thomas Teall, for one, had a standout performance. Reliever Denny Jones picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Dan Wilson took the loss. With the win, the Grizzlies improved to 65-66.
The Grizzlies got a clutch hit from left fielder Tim Alexander. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Grizzlies.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Carlos Aquino, the West Valley City manager.
