Puckmen Claim 8-5 Triumph
Despite a fine performance by first baseman Wes Piper, the West Valley City Grizzlies lost to the Namuko Puckmen, 8-5. Piper was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Rubén López snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 3.1 innings. He's now 5-5 on the season. The loss makes West Valley City 63-66.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brian Wall? The Namuko shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Puckmen on top, 3-2. For the game, Wall had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
