Ivey, Lakers School West Valley City, 4-0
|
Racine starter Malcolm Ivey put a stranglehold on the West Valley City offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Lakers to a 4-0 win. The defeat makes West Valley City 56-69.
Ivey, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 7-2. In 8.1 innings of work, Ivey gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 6 Ks. He kept the Grizzlies punchless, offensively.
"Malcolm made some big pitches when he needed to," said Lakers manager Noburo Kurihara.
