The Yasu Storks got a marvelous performance from pitcher Keith Russell. The right-hander kept the Kilauea offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Yasu victory at Foresters Ballpark. Ren-qing Seema was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 17 save opportunities. Yasu currently is in 4th place in the Hawaiian League Ninja at 37-49.
Emílio Flores contributed to the Yasu win with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Flores attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
