In a low-scoring contest between the Glendale Skyelanders and the West Valley City Grizzlies, Toby Ayers was the X factor. The Glendale right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Glendale's record now stands at 54-59, placing them 5th in the Rocky Mountain League West.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jeffrey Wright in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Ienobu Ito to win the game for Glendale. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Ayers.
