Puckmen Win at Shizuoka, 1-0
|
Shizuoka got a big-time effort from pitcher Yong-gyu Hak, but it wasn't enough to keep the Namuko Puckmen from winning the game, 1-0. Hak threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. David Marsh picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-10 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 3 in 5.1 innings, while yielding no runs. The Puckmen, at 48-61, inhabit 4th place in the Rocky Mountain League Pacific.
The Puckmen got a big at-bat from third baseman Jorge Aguilar. For the game, Aguilar was 1-3 with a home run. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Namuko a 1-0 lead.
"We put together a nice win," Aguilar said.
