Not everyone stuck through the 15-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Magami Ako beat the Tijuana Saguaros, 5-0, at Graviton High. Starting pitcher Ernesto Vélez was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The 4th-place Ako go to 47-58.

In the bottom of the third, Magami designated hitter Mateo Baardman had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Baardman stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 4-0, Magami. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"It was a solid team effort," Baardman said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
