Swamp Dragons Lose to Kauai, 2-1
|
Kauai and Osakasayama got after it at Brewers Ballpark.
In a low-scoring game between the Kauai Monsters and the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons, pitcher Tomás Blanco was masterful on the mound. The Kauai left-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. Nate Gil earned his 10th save, after closing out the game.
Tadanobu Sato had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Kauai. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Kauai in front, 2-0.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Blanco.
The first-place Monsters improved to 50-34.
