The Grand Rapids Rafters beat the Sioux Falls Lakota by a score of 13-6. Grand Rapids left fielder Glenn McIntyre deserved the lion's share of the credit. McIntyre went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 4 times for the Rafters. The Rafters now own a record of 62-46.

Jun Sugiyama had a big bases-clearing double for the Rafters in the top of the fourth inning. With Grand Rapids leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos González and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rafters ahead, 5-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Sugiyama.
