The Salton Sea Kilmers racked up a win at Kilmers Ballpark, bumping off the Mexicali Shmoes, 3-2. Yu-hsui Ruan, who started for Salton Sea, pitched effectively for his team. Salton Sea reliever Jesús Elías picked up the win to move to 4-3. Bernardo Echevarría suffered the loss. Lorenz Fret was credited with the save for Salton Sea, his 4th of the season.

Sam MacFadzean aided the Salton Sea cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a double.

"Yu-hsui pitched his heart out," said Salton Sea manager Powell Clark.
