The Racine Lakers overcame a pretty good performance by Sioux Falls second baseman Qi-chen Zhào, beating the Lakota, 8-4, at Laker Stadium. Zhào was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, Racine pushed its record to 63-43.

Racine took the lead, 8-3, on Miguel Bernal's 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Sioux Falls pitcher Arthur Curtis in the bottom of the seventh.

"Winning is contagious," said Bernal. "We're looking forward to the next game."
