Atsumi Jukes Past Hilo, 5-2

The Atsumi Autobots faced a tough opponent in Hilo pitcher Misao Samurakami, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hilo Ballpark by a final score of 5-2. Samurakami went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Atsumi reliever Dale Miller picked up the win to move to 2-2. George McKinley suffered the loss. At 43-37, the Autobots find themselves in second place in the Hawaiian League Ninja.
Atsumi used the clutch hitting of Dave Soto to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Autobots ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Nervous? No," said Soto. "It was my time to shine."
