Vulcans Snag 4-3 Win
Shirakawa got a decent performance from pitcher Xiong Min, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mauna Loa Vulcans. Mauna Loa won the Recoil Stadium contest, 4-3. Min threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. The Vulcans improved their record to 45-32 by beating Shirakawa.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Cliff Braams in the bottom of the 12th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Manuel Durango to win it for Mauna Loa and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"That was a backyard tug-of-war," said Vulcans manager Juan Flores.
