Due in large part to left fielder Adrián Casas, the Mauna Loa Vulcans sunk the Shirakawa Halberds, 7-4. Casas went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Mauna Loa reliever Mike Martínez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Lorenzo Méndez. The Vulcans raised their record to 44-32.
Ray Griffin, who is tied for 2nd in the HL in bases on balls with 44, took Shirakawa hurler Lorenzo Méndez deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run home run put the Vulcans on top, 6-3. In all, Griffin had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
