Kantaro Kouno was a vital contributor to the 3-2 Shirakawa victory over Mauna Loa. The Halberds second baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Francisco López picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Jesús Torres took the loss. Shirakawa now sports a record of 25-50.

With Shirakawa leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Kouno hit a run-scoring single off Mauna Loa hurler Jesús Torres. It was the 61st hit of the season for Kouno and put his team ahead, 2-0.
