Fireflies Get Clutch Win Versus Osakasayama
Jo-hsi Kau did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons an extra-inning, 7-6 loss to the Kobayashi Fireflies at Blacksnakes Ballpark. Kau went 2-6 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The third-place Fireflies improved to 40-36.

Kobayashi got a knockout punch from Rubén Barrón. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"What a buzz," said Barrón after it was over.
