The Kailua Hanso could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Jorge Figueroa into a win. Instead, the Lana'i City Pineapples prevailed, 3-2. Figueroa was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Aaron Gledhill got the save, the 1st for him this season. The 'W' lifts Lana'i City's record to 32-42.
Lana'i City used a well-timed hit by Brad Barraclough to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Pineapples ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We put together a nice win," Barraclough said.
