A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Kauai Monsters and Mauna Loa Vulcans.

Kauai Monsters starter Tomás Blanco pitched his team past the Mauna Loa Vulcans, 4-2. Nate Gil earned the save for Kauai, his 6th.

Woody Henry helped the cause in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat contributed to the Kauai win.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Blanco told the Kauai Observer.

The Monsters now have a record of 43-31.
