Lana'i City Loses Again, 5-2
|
Though he had a great game, Brad Barraclough could not single-handedly produce a win for Lana'i City. Waimalu won the game, 5-2. Barraclough was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. José Corral earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Micheal McShane picked up his 18th save of the season.
The Nene got a big at-bat from designated hitter Sinclair Krijger. For the game, Krijger went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Waimalu a 3-2 lead.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Krijger.
The slumping Pineapples have dropped 6 in a row.
