Pitcher David Rivas was sensational for the Waikiki Coconuts in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Hilo Hoops. Rivas earned the win. Rivas, now 2-0, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Toshikasu Ikeda.
Dave Wilson had a direct impact on the outcome. Wilson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Waikiki up, 2-1.
