Rison Grounds played host to some exciting baseball.
Ewa Beach Imperialists starter Tsuginori Sato was on his game, helping his team beat the Waimalu Nene, 2-0. Jim MacElligot notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 4-2.
The decisive blow was delivered by Harry Hansen in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Micheal McShane to win the game for Ewa Beach. The home crowd went nuts.
"I liked his command," said Ewa Beach manager Jonathan Cook. "Tsuginori was throwing strikes."
The Imperialists improved their record to 42-25 with the win over Waimalu.
