The Atsumi Autobots did just enough to sneak past the Waimalu Nene, 4-3, at Waimalu Grounds. Atsumi pitcher Vincente Salazar, in particular, had a standout performance. Atsumi is third in the Hawaiian League Ninja with a record of 32-32.

Atsumi used the hitting of Henry Koman to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Autobots on top, 3-0. For the game, Koman had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Waimalu manager Miguel García said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
