In a low-scoring affair between Hilo Hoops and the Osakasayama Swamp Dragons, pitcher Ray Bernard was the difference-maker. The Hilo right-hander handcuffed the opposition, to help his team pocket a 2-0 win. The Hoops raised their record to 32-32.
Ray Bernard was masterful. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
