Kobayashi Bats Quiet in 7-0 Loss
Mauna Loa turned a good effort from starter Wanjala Dau into a win over the Kobayashi Fireflies at Recoil Stadium. The final score was 7-0. Gary Graham was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The Vulcans, at 38-27, sit in first place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fourth inning, but Dau was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Kobayashi trailing 1-0, Dau retired Pok-too Yang, who flied out.
