Starting pitcher Alan James was a major factor in the 8-2 Waikiki Coconuts triumph over the Kilauea Volcanoes. The winner was James. He threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Caden Charles. Waikiki is in third place in the Hawaiian League Aloha with a record of 38-26.

Xiao-yong Fou had a big 2-run double for the Coconuts in the top of the fourth inning. With Waikiki leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Caden Charles and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Coconuts ahead, 5-0.

"They took it to us," said Kilauea manager Chris Simpson.
