The Arlington Bureaucrats picked up a win at Jane P. Woods Memorial Stadium, dropping the Scottish Claymores, 5-1. Alberto Flores, who finished 3rd in the SL in strikeouts with 216 in 2038, was the difference-maker. Flores got the win, improving to 10-5. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Alfredo Gonzáles closed it out for Arlington, earning his 15th save.
In the bottom of the fifth, Arlington right fielder Reggie Raines had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Raines stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-1, Arlington. For the game, he went 1-4.
"I just made my pitches," said Flores, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
Arlington sits in second place in the Imperial League Seaboard at 49-48.
