|
San Luis Rio Colorado pitcher Martín Ramos did his part in helping his team defeat the Tijuana Saguaros, 8-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The Rapidos Blancos win now puts them at 57-47.
Roger Miller had a big 3-run home run for the Rapidos Blancos in the top of the first inning. With San Luis Rio Colorado leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Benjamin Ross and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Rapidos Blancos on top, 5-0.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said San Luis Rio Colorado manager Anthony Rodríguez.
