The Shizuoka Anguirus topped the Sioux Falls Lakota, 5-2, in Rocky Mountain League action at Lakota Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Shizuoka pitcher Tetsuzan Hashimoto. Shizuoka, at 36-64, occupies last place in the Rocky Mountain League Pacific.

The Lakota had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Anguirus going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old first baseman Sixto López came to the plate. López hit a run-scoring triple on a 2-1 fastball from Sioux Falls hurler Hisanobu Takahashi. It was López's 3rd triple of the year.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," López said.
