Behind the hitting of Steve Dinan, the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo defeated the Scottish Claymores, 11-5. Dinan hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Calzones of Laredo. Marcos González got the win, improving to 8-5. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The Calzones of Laredo move to 52-40 with the win, while the Claymores drop to 51-39.

Chua chay Ru had a big bases-clearing double for the Calzones of Laredo in the top of the second inning. With San Antonio leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Kenny Boone, who is tied for 9th in the IL in quality starts with 13, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Calzones of Laredo ahead, 4-0.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Antonio manager Danny Grimes.
