The Shirakawa Halberds beat the Lana'i City Pineapples, 5-3, at Dole Park. Shirakawa second baseman Kantaro Kouno had an outstanding performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Mark Hagood picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-5 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 4 in 5 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Rowan Braddock picked up the save, his 2nd.

Early in the game, Kouno had a 3-run home run for Shirakawa. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Halberds on top, 5-2.
