Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hoops
Hilo Hoops starter Sadao Takahashi pitched his team past the Mokule'ia Oceanic, 4-2, in 12 innings. Steve Field came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Hilo now owns a record of 29-27.

Hilo needed the clutch hitting of Sadanobu Jouda to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Hoops on top, 4-2. For the game, Jouda had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
