The Mexicali Shmoes topped the San Luis Rio Colorado Rapidos Blancos, 7-1, at Shmoes Stadium. Mexicali shortstop Pablo Alonzo was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Min-bum Ch'oe. He tossed 73 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Wen-zhong Niu nailed down the save.

The Shmoes got a big at-bat from center fielder Kevin Rogers. For the game, Rogers was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Mexicali a 2-0 lead.
