Las Brujas Malvadas Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Ensenada Las Brujas Malvadas did just enough to nip the Rosarito Monjas del Vuelo, 5-4, in 11 innings. Ensenada pitcher Alastair Lightfoot, in particular, had a standout performance. The win was credited to Marshall Aston in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Michael Mays took the loss. The Las Brujas Malvadas are now 45-53, while the Monjas del Vuelo fall to 63-35.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ben Dávila? The 25-year old center fielder Dávila stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Ensenada up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Dávila told the Ensenada Herald.
