Rosarito pitcher Donald Davis did his part in helping his team defeat the Calexico Reins, 3-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Davis. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mario Mercalo. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Rosarito.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Noah Lambert? The 22-year old first baseman Lambert stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Rosarito up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Davis told the Rosarito News. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
