The El Cajon Virus could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Gerard Reijssen into a win. Instead, the Magami Ako prevailed, 5-0, in 11 innings. Reijssen threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Dean Carver, now 1-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. At 43-51, the Ako find themselves in 4th place in the Baja Cali League Japanese.
Kyoden Koga went 1 for 4 with a hit by pitch against the Virus. With the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run that put Magami in front, 1-0.
Koga told a Magami Daily reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
