Rapidos Blancos Deal Olympians 6-2 Setback
|
Behind a fine performance from Roger Miller, the San Luis Rio Colorado Rapidos Blancos knocked off the Nagano Olympians, 6-2. Miller was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Rapidos Blancos. John Curwen picked up his 2nd save of the season. The loss makes Nagano 32-52.
Yi-xiao Lim had a big 2-run triple for the Rapidos Blancos in the bottom of the third inning. With San Luis Rio Colorado leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Yong-kook Park, who is tied for 5th in the BCL with a 1.02 WHIP, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rapidos Blancos ahead, 3-0.
Miller told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
