The performance of António Nava proved critical in helping Tijuana beat Mexicali, 6-5. The Saguaros catcher was 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jack Scott, who is tied for 5th in the BCL in complete games with 1, nailed down the save. The Saguaros now have a record of 34-51.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Nava delivered big-time for Tijuana, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Juan Ávila. The game-changing hit put the Saguaros on top, 6-4.

"Enjoyed this one," Nava told the Tijuana Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
