Monsters Reel-In 3-0 Win Over Halberds

Kauai pitcher Takahiro Yoshida had a large part in his team subduing the Shirakawa Halberds, 3-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Getting the save was Lucas Olinger, his 6th. With the win, Kauai raised its record to 25-23.
Arthur Hoyes, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hoyes contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Kauai up, 2-0.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Shirakawa manager Enrique Ortíz.
