The Lana'i City Pineapples downed the Kobayashi Fireflies, 1-0, at Dole Park. Lana'i City pitcher Aaron Gledhill had a scintillating performance. Ye Yong got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. At 24-25, Lana'i City is in 4th place in the Hawaiian League Archipelago.
Brad Barraclough drove in one run for Lana'i City. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Domingo Serrano. It was his 31st RBI of the season.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Kobayashi manager Eduardo Gonzáles.
