Yasu Mettle Tested in Tight 11-10 Win
The Yasu Storks defeated the Mauna Loa Vulcans, 11-10, in 10 innings. George Pratt, who is tied for 5th in the HL in extra base hits with 20, played a big role. Pratt went 4-5 with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Storks in the win. The Storks, now 21-26, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.

The decisive blow was delivered by Allen Nelson in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Robbie Lane to win the game for Yasu. The home crowd went nuts.

"The crowd was juiced," said Nelson.
